Please listen for a minute.

Please listen for a minute.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wherever we live and whatever we do, let us be thankful for our listening skills.

It’s our business to ask questions and listen to the answers. We get to help others decide the exact problem that needs solving.
Then, we help them solve it. Listening is crucial to building any relationship.
Listening demonstrates respect.
Listening shows you care.

When you listen, you’re connecting at the heart level.

If you can refrain from glancing at your cell phone, or from interrupting, your listening ability communicates that you value that person above anything else at that moment.

Our world needs more people who listen to each other. (Would you agree?)

Beyond that, we also need to listen to our own thoughts.

What are we saying to ourselves?

Our feelings become thoughts; those thoughts become actions; and the actions define who we are.

That becomes “the story” of our life.

As a “difference maker,” you get to create your life story through listening with greater awareness of the power
behind your words.

To magnify your results, I’ve decided to give you my “Craft Your Story Program” at a holiday rate.

You’ll get to listen — at your own convenience — to three recorded modules (and a bonus session!).

AND… whenever you’re ready, I’ve included a complimentary hour of private story consulting. (That makes this program almost free…)

No matter what, thanks for all you do.

I’m here to listen and let you know that I’m grateful for you.

To Your Success,
Lynn
We’re on a journey of being!

We’re on a journey of being!

We are here, you and I, on a journey of being.

A time to be all we can be during this “dash” of our lives.

A time to raise our awareness of how we can change the story of our lives by our thoughts.

Remember – we are human “be-ings…”

In this rush-rush world, where it can be easy to get caught up in daily “to-do’s,” no matter what happens on the outside, we can choose how to “be.”

Let us be kind to one another.

Let us be kind to ourselves.

Let us recognize the oneness we share.

For your reflection, here’s a message from F. Scott Fitzgerald:

“For what it’s worth, it’s never too late Or in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be.
There’s no time limit, start whenever you want.
You can change or stay the same.
There are no rules to this thing.
We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it.
I hope you see things that startle you.
I hope you feel things you never felt before.
I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of and if you find that you are not,
I hope you have the strength to start all over again.” P.S.  I Believe In You!

Just had to share this wonderful story

Just had to share this wonderful story

We live our lives from the inside out.

When you recognize the connection between us all, you can live life from an expanded perspective.

Then, you may get to see the ripple effects of your positivity…
The results of your actions…
The smiles…

And when that happens, it’s BLISS!

Let me share what happened during my trip last week to San Diego.

It was Halloween morning, and my husband and I just finished a delicious breakfast outdoors at Snooze Eatery in Del Mar.

I wanted to show my appreciation to our very thoughtful server. So, I pulled out a blue ribbon with the words, “Who I Am Makes A Difference,” and honored Michelle, dressed up as a devil, for being such a friendly, kind person.

She was surprised and touched.  “No one ever does that!” She asked if I could please honor the manager, Chandler.

“Of course,” I answered.  Within two minutes, Chandler appeared in her motorcycle costume.  As I spoke from my heart in honoring her, I noticed how her eyes filled with tears.  I felt tears in my eyes too!

“You don’t know how much I appreciate that,” she said.  “I really needed it.” Then, the hostess Valerie rushed over and asked me if I could honor her TOO!

“Sure” I said.  She was so excited to get honored, as well as receive the two extra ribbons which I give to everyone.  This allows them to honor someone else, who can then pass on the third ribbon to anyone they choose.

Before I knew it, more people around me were wearing the blue ribbon! Smiles popped up like popcorn.

AMAZING!  The joy was palpable.

I called my friend, Sparky Bridges, Founder of Blue Ribbons Worldwide, who offered to drive over that afternoon and meet the manager.  When she arrived, a server named Mike helped us, and he got honored too!  Sparky was given a complimentary breakfast!

Check out the picture montage that’s shown above… and allow yourself to tune into the feelings you perceive… even through the masks.

There IS magic in being a giver.

When you value someone, the joy comes right back to you! Get ten free blue ribbons at:  http://www.blueribbons.org.
(You can order more, which goes towards providing programs that help eradicate bullying and boost self-esteem.)

I invite you to experience this magic yourself… honor someone — anyone — and watch what happens.  It’s perfect for Thanksgiving and beyond.

Remember — you have greatness inside you.

Do you know about kintsugi?

Do you know about kintsugi?

Do you want everything to be just “perfect” before you take action?
Do you hesitate before publishing an article?
Do you find it difficult to be on camera because you’re self-conscious?

If you’ve answered “yes” to any of the above questions, then you may be a perfectionist… like me.

In the last email, I learned my subject line contained an embarrassing error! Yikes!  Horrors! I was cringing inside.  Then I thought, Oh well… at least I did my best… and I wrote something!

After 20 years of effort and hesitation, I eventually self-published my children’s book, “Dancing With Tex: The Remarkable Friendship
To Save The Whooping Cranes.” It was a best-seller and won an award. So what was I waiting for?  (See:  http://www.DancingWithTex.com)

A friend of mine used to say, “If you want everything to be perfect, you can have a perfect nothing.”

I’ve also heard, “Perfect is the enemy of good.” And “Done is better than perfect.”

How do we overcome our aversion to taking risks?

Perhaps we can learn from the Japanese.  They have a beautiful word called, “kintsugi,” that gives us an answer
of how to deal with our mistakes.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold – a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections.

For example, I just created this video gift for you, and after glancing at it, I realized my eye makeup was smudged underneath my eyes. Oh well….  Done is better than perfect.

And this video honors who you are.

Know that you matter to me.  See:  http://bit.ly/MyBlueRibbonCeremony Let me know your thoughts.

To Your Success,

Lynn

Do you listen to that quiet voice inside?

Do you listen to that quiet voice inside?

Have you ever called someone who said, “I was just thinking of you!”

It has happened to me often.  Know why? Because we all have a quiet voice within us that can serve as our guidance barometer.

It’s up to us to decide if we want to listen.I share this with you because it’s too important to ignore.  It can make all the difference in your life… in ANYTHING you do.  Be aware — I’m not referring to your thoughts — conscious or subconscious.  This guidance has other names:  intuition, spirit guides, angels, God, Higher consciousness…. whatever you want to call it.-

Let me share a simple story.  I just attended the surprise 90th birthday of my former neighbor, Jean, who is shown in this photo.  It was such a beautiful occasion — even with masks on.  How many of us even make it to 90?  Much less attract a room full of fans…

Jean’s husband, Tom, who has since passed away, shared how they first met.  He listened to his inner guidance when he saw Jean on a streetcar.  He not only gave her his seat, but he casually asked her if he could hold her books.  She looked up at him and agreed.  She didn’t know why she did that, but something told her it would be alright.

Tom then quickly peeked inside the front book cover to get her name and phone number.  He somehow found a tiny piece of paper to write down her information.  Tom didn’t want to seem too forward.  But he knew… HE KNEW…. she was special.  They chatted briefly, and he later called her up, asked her out, and the rest was history.

We were lucky to live across the street from them for years, and we still keep in touch.  Her warm gentleness feels like “family” to me.   I build relationships in that way… sensing the inner connection among those I meet.

My wonderful Rabbi Bruce Elder expressed it well when he said, “Each of us has the opportunity to make our own soul.”

If you’re in business, trust your inner voice first before asking for someone’s feedback… before collaborating… before working for someone or hiring anyone.   You’ll want to hang around people who recognize your beautiful soul … just as I do!
We Need To Be Prepared.

We Need To Be Prepared.

We need to be prepared.

As a member of the Max Community, where entrepreneurs have access to experts on technology, I want to pass along important information about security concerns on the internet.  It affects all of us.

You’re probably aware that for the first time in its history, Facebook, Twitter and the Bank of America recently went down for hours. No access.  What does that mean for the public?

Even the biggest organizations are facing security concerns.  Our global world makes each of us vulnerable to hackers.  As I recently learned, much of our personal information is available through google.  Google is the world’s largest search engine.  And it’s easier than ever for outsiders to take advantage of our information through the Google platform.

So – what can we do?

Important tip #1: Turn off your internet access at bedtime.

We can also do the same with our cell phones, by turning them off or putting them into airplane mode. Even our printers now are connected to the internet and can be turned off.   (Turning off the computer also allows it to perform more efficiently.)

Important tip #2
– Change your Gmail address (which allows outsiders to our private information) to Protonmail.com – the world’s largest secure email server.  You can get a free email account at that site.  I just opened a new email at:  lynnsanders@protonmail.com.

Important tip #3
 – Back everything up on your computer to a hard drive.
